Seductive St Kitts

St Kitts is one of the British Leeward islands, there are direct flights from London twice weekly and numerous cruise ships use St Kitts as a port of call.  So what attracts;

It is one of the smaller Caribbean islands, and was volcanic, therefore it offers great excursions for the deep ravines and extinct volcanoes like Mount Liamuiga, it has beautiful waterfalls along with a tropical rainforest in the fertile lands of the central area. There is also the 17th Century Brimstone Hill Fortress which is a Unesco world heritage site.

It had fantastic golden beaches in the south east of the island. Make sure you visit the vibrate Frigate Bay with its lively bars.

If you stay for a while you can visit Nevis which is a small island  known as the ‘Queen of the Caribees’. if offers great peaks and soft golden beaches and small fishing villages to explore.

It worked out well as we decided to jump on a tour bus at the port with a few people, they took us on a drive of the island speaking as they went- although at the back it was a little difficult to hear. We ended up at a lovely beach.  The picture of the bus is below with a shot of one of the lovely cruise passengers; we ended up spending a lot of time with them.  You meet some amazing people on cruises.
