Cunards Rich History

As I am sure we are all aware Cunard have a rich and interesting history from the rescue of the Titanic victims on the Carpathia to the assistance in the world wars they have decided to commemorate the Lusitania which was torpedoed during World War 1.

To Mark the 100 year Anniversary of the loss, Queen Victoria is sailing for 7 nights from Southampton. Of course in True Cunard style there will be tributes and a special service for the day of the sinking in Cobh, Ireland. The ship was sunk on the 7th may 1915. However it was not the only Cunard vessel to be lost during the first world war which included the great Carpathia. Cunard’s 175th Birthday celebrations next year has given rise to numerous commemorate date cruises to celebrate the past of Cunard.
