Even if you want a cruise the only part of your package that is fixed is the date of the cruise, however sometimes it is possible to down line your boarding subject to the cruise liner and locations. Additional tours can be added pre or post cruise.
All sounds great so far so what are the pitfalls?
Pitfalls can be easily avoided, you can do this by:
-Making sure that your agent is fully ABTA and ATOL bonded,
-That no budget airlines are used like Easy Jet, as they can cancel at short notice and cause you to pay flights at higher prices with other providers.
-Your agent must ensure that the baggage allowance is the same for all flights to avoid any nasty additional baggage handling fees; you must check your paperwork
-If transfers are included that you ensure they are included in your paperwork
-That when you book you have insurance in place
-That when you go you have all vouchers and receipts for hotels and transfers and excursions.
If your travel agent is good they will advise you of what is and is not included then it is your choice but the number one rule is to check your paperwork over for all of the above points.
